I’m Albriana Shante Youyoute
My event design career began with a dream. Not the hope and wishing dream, but actual eyes closed, REM sleep dream. The Saturday before a baby shower I was decorating for at church, I saw two managers dressed in suits telling me they were letting me go in the dream. In less than a week, that dream came true. Effective immediately, I and about 100 others were being laid off. At that moment, the only thing I could think about was, “oh my gosh, my dream.” I was in so much shock while simultaneously feeling comfort because God had thought of me enough to warn me ahead of the time.
That following March, with the encouragement of my husband, I decided to put my MBA and God-given talent to use. I started my own business. Within the first year, I booked intimate parties and weddings and was featured in Martha Stewart. Known for my attention to detail and eye for design, I have been featured in Style Me Pretty, Muna Luchi, and Black Bride.
Today I am a mother of two beautiful real-life princesses, a wife, educator, stylist, encourager, and supporter. Although not ideal, I often look back on where I started and see that God was always in control.
